Who We Are
Driven by purpose, powered by experience—supporting veterans and civilians in overcoming barriers to meaningful employment through comprehensive training, resources, and unwavering commitment.
Ramon Serrato’s journey has been anything but traditional. After dropping out of high school, he sought a new direction and found it by joining the Marine Corps. The structure, discipline, and sense of purpose he gained while serving, shaped who he is today. The transition wasn’t always easy, but a profound sense of duty has guided him through those toughest moments, helping him stay on course.
After serving 20 years in the Marine Corps, Ramon transitioned to teaching at Brooke Point High School. It was there that he recognized a glaring gap in “Vocational Education.” Leveraging his military experience, particularly the nine years he spent leading education and training services, he saw an opportunity to make a difference. That realization led to the founding of Serrato Corporation in 2001.
Building on his Marine Corps experience, he applied his expertise in training development, discipline, and a deep sense of duty to address workforce development challenges. Over the years, he has come to understand that the transition from military service to civilian life is not just about finding a job; it’s about overcoming financial struggles, employment barriers, and the immense stress of reintegration. These pressures can take a toll on mental health, making the journey to meaningful employment even more daunting.
This experience has fueled his sense of purpose: to tackle the workforce crisis head-on by creating comprehensive support systems that not only provide skills training but also address the holistic needs of individuals. At Serrato Corporation, we are dedicated to bridging these gaps, ensuring that veterans and civilians alike have access to the resources, training, and support needed to thrive in their new careers. Our mission is to empower others to find stability, purpose, and success in the next chapter of their lives.
The Warriors to Work initiative, is dedicated to empowering transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with the tools and support needed for a successful civilian career. Our partnership with Operation ReBOOT and Maurice Wilson strengthens this mission by providing a structured, proven approach to career transition, leadership development, and job placement.
About Operation ReBOOT
Co-founded and led by Maurice Wilson, a retired Master Chief and highly respected leader in veteran workforce development, Operation ReBOOT has helped thousands of service members successfully transition into meaningful careers. Through its ReBOOT Workshops, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the civilian job market, refine their professional branding, and develop the confidence needed to navigate their next chapter.
In 2010 the National Veterans Transition Service Inc. (NVTSI) created REBOOT Workshops™. REBOOT Workshops™ are designed to meet an acute need for robust military to civilian transition program and close the gap. By addressing transition issues at their root cause, NVTSI and its network of partners helps transitioning service members, veterans and spouses successfully transitioning from the military-to-civilian world through a three phased, 15-day intensive workshop that empowers them with resiliency and self-sufficiency.
Taking a innovative and holistic approach to transition, the REBOOT Workshop™ builds upon your military training and skills to help you redefine your personal identity, purpose in life, and desired occupation. Participants are immersed in a reflective and engaging curriculum that successfully bridges the gap between military and civilian worlds.
This REBOOT Workshop™ focuses on three critical areas of a successful transition: Personal Identity, Lifestyle Transition & Career Transition. The seminar addresses the personal and social aspects of transition to civilian life by using research-based, outcome-driven methods drawn from the best practices in career planning and cognitive-behavioral techniques. The workshop will help you get back on track with your life/career and shift your thinking from being military directed to being self-directed.
Operation Warriors to Work exists to unify military transition, workforce development, and civilian service through a national platform that restores purpose, aligns talent, and strengthens America’s essential industries.
The program is designed to meet the needs of transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and civilians who are driven to serve. It achieves this by expanding access to high-quality, mission-oriented training and employment pathways through the modernized Job Corps system.
Our vision is to create a stackable credential learning model that incorporates college education into workforce development, promoting a skills-first approach that opens doors to meaningful careers in the industries we serve.
